Target: Artist Light Cardigan

If you've browsed the site more than a few times you may have caught onto the fact that I LOVE embellishments - especially floral ones. It should be no surprise that when I saw this cardigan at Target I fell in love. I love the simple but beautiful detailing and the weight of the sweater is ideal for those in-between months for the wedding season. I also think it would layer perfectly over dresses.

Target: Knot Sleeve Top

This top at Target caught my eye this week as I was browsing the aisles as it is a play on the regular t-shirt idea but is a bit different. I love the knot details on the sleeve!!! I will say these shirts seem to run small so size up accordingly. The black isn't nearly as thin as the other colors but I would still probably layer it under a cami or tank top for weddings. You can never have too many black t-shirts in your closet once wedding season starts!!

Target: Crochet Cocoon Top

I picked this top up at Target this last week at Target in heather grey and I was browsing on Target and was elated to see that there is a black version online that was not in the store! I LOVE this top and got a lot of compliments on it when I wore it before. The crochet detail in the back is really lovely and the best part is that it doesn't reveal anything that is too risque - it hits high enough to not reveal any bra straps. The only thing I will say is that it doesn't quite hit as low as I'd like on the hips so you may need to layer this and size up. While it isn't the traditional all black I like to go it is nice to switch it up now and again.

What I Wear: Merona Scoop Neck Dress

Readers, I have a confession to make... I wore a dress to shoot in, despite swearing I'd never do it. We've had some crazy high temperatures here in Ohio the past few weeks - and even before we were in the upper 80's to 90's we've had some humidity that is just unbearable. So unbearable that in fact that even wearing my beloved gauchos seemed impossible. I had just got this dress from Target and thought well heck, I'll try it. While there were definitely times I wished I had on pants, I have to confess that it was VERY comfortable to shoot in and cool! I thought about wearing shorts beneath them but that'd kind of defeat the point of wearing a dress by adding more layers. While I don't think this will always be a go-to outfit, I must admit that I felt more professional being in a dress. These dresses are sold out online but you can still find them in some Target stores. I have this dress in coral, brown AND black - that's how much I love it. VERY comfy and you can still wear a normal bra with it which is a huge selling point for me. It can also easily be worn in the colder months with a cardigan!

If this is something that appeals to you, keep your eye out at your local Target as I HIGHLY recommend this dress!!!

Target: Gaucho Pants

Confession: I sometimes rock the unstylish look at weddings - especially in the summer. I wear a pair of gaucho pants (which are now pretty much out of style) that I picked up at Kohl's last summer that are rayon, light and SO wonderful to wear in the summer. They dry fast (bonus for sweat and for rain) and are ridiculously comfortable. They aren't the most stylish thing... but sometimes comfort wins. Someone recently asked what I wear for a non-beach outdoor wedding and I sent her these from Target as they are the closest thing I can find to what I wear currently. In the past, I've also worn dressy capri pants (usually from Old Navy) but I find that these are easier to move in and a lot lighter!

Target: Beaded Crochet Trim Knit Top

I stumbled across this top at Target online when looking for another style and the description brought me in and it was all over after that. Cute details? Check. Rosettes? Check. Beading??? BONUS! Yeah, this is a definite win for the tops list - especially for Target! Wahoo!

Target: Maternity Sleeveless Ruffle Top

I had a request to add on some maternity wear to the line up so I poked around to see what I could find. Please keep in mind that I've never been pregnant so I am pretty clueless about this other than going off of the "oh that's cute in the pic" factor so bear with me if you have been there and know that a certain style only works on the maternity models and not in real life. This top from Target immediately caught my eye as adorable. I love the ruffle detailing at the neckline and the bow around the front. It's maternity without being peasanty and I like that. I fear I'm going to be a very picky maternity clothes wearer as I tend to not like the "HI I HAVE A BABY IN HERE" shirts/dresses. The cost is what seals the deal for this cute top which could either rock on its own or with a layering item. Win!
