Ann Taylor Loft: $15 Summer Tees

Wow! There is a great sale going on today @ Ann Taylor Loft! All Summer Tees are $15 and there are some great ones that would work wonderfully for wedding wear. I've listed the ones I'd choose below!

I love the mini ruffle tee because it reminds me of a wedding dress. Lately I've found myself gravitating towards tees that have cute details like this that aren't sewn on (like rosettes) because my camera strap tends to destroy them. Best of both worlds!

I really like the pleated neck knit top as well for similar reasons, pretty detailing without the worry of destroying it. It also looks crazy comfortable!

My go-to style for tops is always the cowl neck, it's classy and is always a flattering look. I really love the dolman sleeve cowl neck top because it fits the bill for simple and elegant. The longer sleeves also help out those ladies (like me!) that hate their arms.

Gap: Tulle Sleeve T

This t-shirt from Gap is SO cute and the tulle detail on the sleeve makes it perfect for weddings! I don't know about you, but when I think about tulle my mind immediately goes to weddings!

Price: $49.95

Kohl's: Apt 9 Embroidered Mesh T-Shirt

I love this top so much from Kohl's that I bought it not only in black for weddings but pink as well (and am still contemplating other colors). It's feminine, dressy and doesn't completely leave your arms out naked. As most women, I hate my arms but I know in the summer that I also dread wearing sleeves. This is the perfect combination of hiding the hateful arms but not being too hot!

Price: $21.60

Additional Codes: XTRA15 for 15% off until April 10th, 2% off by shopping via eBates

Forever 21: Satin Capsleeve Top

Continuing with the Forever 21 love (they are donating 100% of sales today to the relief efforts in Japan) I came across this top and I adore it! Something about satin always dresses up an outfit. I also think all three colors would suit weddings - navy, nude and taupe.

Price: $22.80

Forever 21: Lace Neck Jersey Top

Today Forever21 is donating 100% of their online sales to the relief efforts in Japan. Words cannot describe how awesome that is. Once I heard this news, I immediately started going through their site to find items that I can wear for weddings. Sadly I feel that I am just a smidge too old for most of their clothing but I found some items that will work. This top caught my eye because it has a little bit of flair yet is still modest enough for weddings.

Price: $13.50

Gap: Batwing T

It is the Gap Give & Get time of year again and I have been perusing the sites seeing if anything would work for weddings. Although this t-shirt from the Gap is a bit untraditional, I have to admit that I love it - especially the tie back. I would wear a tank beneath to limit any accidental exposures but I love how unique it is.

Price: $34.50

Additional Codes: 30% off with Gap Give & Get - if you need an invite comment with your email, I have a ton left to share!

The Limited: Fancy Flower Cardigan

Big thanks to blog reader Sheena for the heads up about this gorgeous cardi that is on sale at The Limited! I adore the grey for weddings but the other colors are lovely as well.

Price: $19.99
Additional Codes: 368 for 20% off, use eBates for an additional 2.5%

Target: Artist Light Cardigan

If you've browsed the site more than a few times you may have caught onto the fact that I LOVE embellishments - especially floral ones. It should be no surprise that when I saw this cardigan at Target I fell in love. I love the simple but beautiful detailing and the weight of the sweater is ideal for those in-between months for the wedding season. I also think it would layer perfectly over dresses.

Price: $24.99

Target: Knot Sleeve Top

This top at Target caught my eye this week as I was browsing the aisles as it is a play on the regular t-shirt idea but is a bit different. I love the knot details on the sleeve!!! I will say these shirts seem to run small so size up accordingly. The black isn't nearly as thin as the other colors but I would still probably layer it under a cami or tank top for weddings. You can never have too many black t-shirts in your closet once wedding season starts!!

Price: $12.99

Target: Crochet Cocoon Top

I picked this top up at Target this last week at Target in heather grey and I was browsing on Target and was elated to see that there is a black version online that was not in the store! I LOVE this top and got a lot of compliments on it when I wore it before. The crochet detail in the back is really lovely and the best part is that it doesn't reveal anything that is too risque - it hits high enough to not reveal any bra straps. The only thing I will say is that it doesn't quite hit as low as I'd like on the hips so you may need to layer this and size up. While it isn't the traditional all black I like to go it is nice to switch it up now and again.

Price: $14.99

The Limited: Double Ruffle Top

This simple but pretty top caught my eye at The Limited for a few reasons. First of all, it's a bit snazzier than your average top but not fussy enough that you have to worry about straps catching on any embellishments and ruining the top. Second this top would be ideal for photographers to wear in warmer climates as the material is light but would also dry fast if you sweat a bit! Win win!

Price: $34.90

Ann Taylor Loft: Swirl Rose Tee

This adorable t-shirt from Ann Taylor Loft is just fancied up enough for work and just irresistibly cute! I love the rose detailing on the collar but really love the bubble hem!

Price: $39.50

Additional Codes: 40% off with EXTRA (expires 1/17!)

Ann Taylor: Shimmer Tiered Shell

This shell from Ann Taylor (also available in Petite) would be the perfect compliment to a wedding suit, still black to remain incognito but has a bit of flair and sparkle to dress it up from the average shell. The diagonal is also a flattering line on anyone that's a bit self-conscious of their body.

Price: $44.99

Ann Taylor: Silk/Cotton/Cashmere Sweater

I know that this sweater from Ann Taylor doesn't look a lot different from the sweater I just posted but it's the finer details that make it just different enough for me to have to list it. The sleeves are a bit shorter, which is more ideal for my photogs down south. They also have a bit of a puff to them which makes the Anne of Green Gables lover in me die in delight. (sidenote: RIP Aunt Hetty from Road to Avonlea - such a heartbreaker!)

Cost: $29.99

Ann Taylor: Scoopneck Sweater

I am sure I'm not the only woman out there that HATES her upper arms. Well, like most women I hate my entire body but that's a subject for a different day. LOL. I love elbow length tops because they are SO flattering to the upper arms, even if you hate them as I do. This sweater from Ann Taylor caught my eye due to the flattering cut and sleeve length. It's a simple lightweight sweater that can easily be worn in fall and winter. The other colors are also pretty and I'm picking a few up!

Cost: $39.99

Additional Codes: SEPT20 for an additional 20% off sale items

Ann Taylor: Tee with Grosgrain Bow

It's been another long break in blogging but if you are a photographer you know how busy this time of the year can be! September-beginning of October is my busiest time of the year and it's been crazy!

This top from Ann Taylor caught my eye because it has delicate detailing but isn't over the top. I think this could easily slip into my wedding wardrobe space in the closet and yet it still could be worn during the week too. Win!

Cost: $29.95

The Limited: Overt Ruffle Cardigan

I apologize for my lack in posting as of late. It's been a busy summer full of weddings and it's been that awkward season in stores between summer and winter where new clothes aren't being released until closer to school coming back in session. I also admit that right now I don't want to look at anything relating to chunky sweaters as it's been crazy hot here in Ohio this summer! However I took a spin around the web today and this beauty caught my eye.

This cardigan from The Limited is perfect for those in between months from summer to winter. It's short sleeved and open front so that it's not quite as warm but still warm enough to keep you from getting chilled if shooting in a cool reception or outside at night. I love the ruffle detailing around the edge that isn't overly done.

Cost: $59.50

Ann Taylor: Oyster Sateen Beaded Blouse

While this top from Ann Taylor may not be able to be worn on its own, it makes a KILLER shell to go beneath a suit jacket (or can be worn solo if you've got killer arms). It's detailed enough to dress up your outfit, yet comfortable enough to not restrict you when shooting. Win win! Bonus - it's on sale.

Cost : $39.99

White House Black Market: Fishtail Tissue Tee

I ADORE this top from White House Black Market. The wrap design is always flattering and it has a rosette to boot! SCORE! The price is a bit high for a t-shirt IMHO but I can stalk it until it goes on sale (or they have really good codes out).

Cost: $58.00

Additional Codes: 9132 for an additional 15% off all items

The Limited: Studded Shoulder Top

I know I've been slacking here... I apologize! It's the busy season for me here in Ohio and I've been editing and shooting like a crazy lady! :) I'm back today with a few new items to fill the gap!

This top from The Limited is a new top that I really love. It's got a bit of extra detailing on the shoulders to make it pop but nothing that says "I'm going out to the clubs after I get done shooting." I also love cowl necks, for me, they work really well. It's a great top for the summer since it's sleeveless!

Cost: $39.50
